Type “A” and “B” Stopping Plugs provide a method of blanking off unused entries in hazardous area approved equipment while ensuring that integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained. Type A Stopping Plugs are designed to be installed from the outside of an enclosure and tightened with an appropriate Allen key. When installed they fall flush with the outside of the enclosure wall.
Type B Stopping Plugs are designed to be installed from the outside of an enclosure. The hexagon recess is located on the inside and the plug is tightened with an appropriate Allen key. Due to this feature they are sometimes referred to as tamper-proof stopping plugs. When installed they fall flush with the outside of the enclosure wall.
